Never Never Rock Art Day Tour (Ubirr - Manngarre Rainforest Walk - Cahills Crossing - Bardedjilidji)
Imagine yourself retracing the footsteps of the Crocodile Dundee movies into the Never Never…
On this day adventure, you will visit the original locations featured in both Crocodile Dundee 1 and 2. Choose to use our props and take some fun photos along the way.
Learn about aboriginal art and culture and wander through spectacular escarpment country, view massive floodplains, billabongs and open woodland savannahs.
Outline
Start the day with a short drive through open woodland savannah past a series of vast floodplains.
Your first stop will see you taking an easy track to the top of the escarpment lookout, along the way passing rocky shelters with ancient aboriginal art speckled throughout.
Your guide will share stories of the history and culture as he brings these artworks to life.
When you reach the top, enjoy magnificent views and take your own Mick and Sue photos wearing our clothing props. You can recreate the scene where Mick points down to the plains below as he tells his tale.
Before lunch, visit a monsoon rainforest, which follows along the banks of the East Alligator River and spot crocodiles along the way. Pass by the 'Women Only' place of the local Aboriginal people.
Travel a short distance to find yourself walking through a spectacular sandstone outcrop, past caves and a billabong at the edge of East Alligator River.
This is the location where Sue had the job of looking after the bad guys in the second movie. It is the perfect location for another photoshoot, followed by afternoon tea before heading back to Jabiru.
